Curt Simmons:  1947-1967.  Three time All-Star, Top in in pitching WAR five times.  Led the league in Strike Outs with six in 1952.  Part of the 1964 Cardinals who won the World Series, pitching in two games, allowing 11 hits and 8 K’s in 14 IP.  Would get saddled with a 0-1 record, though.

This autograph was acquired TTM.

Enos Slaughter: 1938-1959.  He was a great player for a really long time, and was still a pretty effective player until the last season of his 19 year career.  He has pop, but his plate disciple was his real talent–he would retire with 1,018 walks to only 538 K’s.  He was always a threat to lead the league in average and OBP, and was a hard nosed player who never gave less than 100% on the field.

Autograph bought in a big lot.  Not great condition, though.  The autograph is great, the index card not so much.  Still a keeper, though.
