New Arrival: Adam Walker, of, Twins

IMG_0006

Adam Brett Walker was drafted in the 3rd Round of the 2012 MLB Draft.

Walker and was selected the Atlantic Sun Conference player of the year in 2011, and put up good numbers with Jacksonville in 2012.

Coming into 2012 Walker was rated the Twins #31 prospect, but I am thinking that he is going to be way higher next season. With Low-A Cedar Rapids Walker hit .278 with a .845 OPS, whacking 27 HR. He strikes out a lot–115 K’s in 508 AB–but that can be forgiven if he can keeps hitting the ball with power.

He is obviously an exciting power hitting prospect, and if he continues to play this well next season with Fort Myers or New Britain, he could be a Top 10 prospect by 2015.

I got this autograph a couple weeks back…easily one of the nicer looking autographs I have seen this season.  Very cool.
