New Arrival: Corey Miller, sp, Pepperdine

Corey Miller is one of the most dominant starting pitchers this season in college baseball.

He was drafted last season by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 16th round (482nd pick), and did not sign.  He came into 2014 rated the #45 senior available in the draft, though I imagine with the way he is pitching that number has improved.

So far this season Miller is 1-1 with a 0.35 ERA.  In 25.2 IP he has stuck out 26 with only 3 walks allowed, and guys are only hitting .140 off him.  He is a pretty fantastic pitcher, and I would love to see him sign and get some A ball innings under his belt before the season is over.

He is a really big dude in person.  And very nice.  Asked where I was from and everything.  I actually would have talked to him more, but I was not really prepared for him to be so friendly.  I am still a little awkward asking guys to sign at Hawaii games…I am always afraid they are going to get yelled at by their coach or something.
