New Arrival: Carlos Moncrief, of, Cleveland Indians

IMG_0001

I am rooting for Moncrief to make the majors more than just about any prospect in the organization. This offseason he was added to the Tribes 40 man roster, so that is defintley a step in the right direction. And he earned it! The numbers he put up in Akron last season were very impressive, hitting 17 HR with a .354 OBP.  He is 25, but it is important to remember that he did not start hitting until 2010, since he was originally a pitcher.

He is starting this season in AAA, and I think there is a good chance that if the injury bug starts to nibble on the starting lineup, he could get a call pretty quick.
