New Arrival: Jose Ramirez, if, Cleveland Indians

IMG_0004

Coming into 2014 Baseball America rated Jose Ramirez the Indians #9 prospect. I don’t think anyone thinks that he is going to be in the Hall of Fame, but he is a fun, talented player that could have a long career as a regular or super utility player.

Last season was kind of exciting: he was so good during winter ball that the Indians moved him from Low-A ball straight to AA, a very aggressive assignment for a 20 year old player. It worked. He hit well and earned a September call up to the Majors. He is starting this season on the DL, but there is no reason that he should not end the season in Cleveland.
