David Cooper was the 17th overall pick (Blue Jays) in the 2008 draft. He has never really had a bad season in the minors, showing good power and plate discipline. He made it to the Majors in 2012 with the Jays, only to suffer a serious back injury. He missed most of 2013, was signed by the Indians briefly late in the season, and then asked for his release. The Indians resigned him in December, and he is now on the Columbus roster.
Cooper actually had a pretty great spring, with a .364/.444/.455 line. I think that once he gets warmed up in the minors, shows that his back is fine, he could be one of the first guys to get called up. Personally I am really excited to see what he can do. The best part is that if he hits well and ends up being this years Yan Gomes we can keep him for a long time, since he only has less than a year of active major league service time.
