New Arrival: Greg Allen, of, Cleveland Indians

Greg Allen was the Indians 6th Round pick this season, out of San Diego State University.

I am not sure how the Indians managed to get him in the 6th Round, since most things that I read said that he was a Top 100 talent.  He is a classic center fielder:  not a ton of power, but makes up for it with speed, defense and a patient approach at the plate.  One report that I read said that his floor is a fourth outfielder, with his ceiling Michael Bourn.  Either way that is pretty high praise.  He is hitting well in the Valley, showing great plate discipline and speed.  I think he is a great prospect and I am very excited that he is part of the organization.
