New Arrical: Jacob Lee, rp, Cleveland Indians

IMG_0018

Jacob Lee was drafted in the 9th Round of the 2012 draft frpm Arkansas State University.

He was a classic Indians pick.  In his senior season he went 9-1 with a 2.77 ERA.  He was named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year and first-team All-SBC.  He had three average or above average pitches, and while not flashy was a very smart pitcher.

Lee hit a bit of a rough spot in 2013, but this year has transitioned to the pen and his having an excellent season.  He has a starting pitchers collection of pitches, so he can be a real weapon.  He is a little old for the Carolina league, but not enough to make me think his success is not legit.  I think that he has a chance to move quick, and I would not be surprised to see him in AAA or even get a late season call up in 2015.
