Liddi was signed as an international free agent by Seattle in 2005. He was traded to Baltimore in 2013, and has also been in the White Sox and Dodgers system.
He was a prospect for what seems like forever. For six seasons he was rated one of the Mariners Top 30 prospect, and made it to #5 in 2009. He has some impressive minor league campaigns, showing some serious power. Ultimately though, he would not have enough tools to go along with the power to carry him to a full time job in the majors. His inability to make consistent contact was seems like what did him in the most.
Still, he is still young–25–so I am hoping that he can learn to make better contact and still have some nice seasons, either in the majors or AAA.
