Dominic De La Osa was a very well known guy coming into the 2008 draft.

The Tigers drafted him in the 49th Round of the 2004 draft out of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll HS (The Hammocks, FL). They drafted him again in the 10th Round of the 2007 draft out of Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). the Twins tried their luck, this time in the 11th Round of the 2008 draft…and he finally signed.

Coming out of Vanderbilt he was considered a fast, defense oriented player with some serious pop. His bat was streaky, but there was potential.

He would only spend two seasons in pro ball, getting as high as A-ball before retiring.
