From the Collection: Luke Burnett, p, Kansas City Royals

Luke Burnett was drafted in the 14th Round of the 2008 draft out of Louisiana Tech by the Seattle Mariners.

Burnett was a possible first round pick prior to the 2008 season.  He was projected as a pen arm, but he was a big dude (6-8) with a fastball in the high 90’s.  But injuries and ineffectiveness in 2008 dinged his draft status pretty bad.

He would only spend two seasons in pro ball before retiring.
