Trey Vavra was drafted out of Division II Florida Southern University in the 33rd Round of the 2014 draft by the Twins. I am a really big fan of Division II ball, so it is really nice to see him hit the ground running as a professional.

He put up great numbers in 2014 at Elizabethton, but has really upped his game at Cedar Rapids, hitting for both power and average.  In fact, with the way he is hitting I have to think that he will not be sticking around in Low-A ball too much longer, and I expect that he will be bumped to High-A Fort Meyers before too long.

I was very happy to get his autograph this morning, and really hope that he keeps it up!
