Brantley Bell was drafted in the 11th Round of the 2015 draft out of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. He has a very good pedigree, being the son of former big leaguer Jay Bell.
Bell was a fine hitter in college. In 2015, he hit .325/.375/.469 with 3 HR at Manatee-Sarasota, and as a 20-year-old in Pioneer (Rookie) League hit .275/.353/.362. He was selected to the league All-Star team.
He is very young, but I imagine that he will begin the season in Low-A, and he could very well end the season in High-A if he continues to hit well.
