From the Field: Willi Castro, ss, Cleveland Indians

Castro is one of the Indians Top 30 prospects coming into the season. The Indians are being aggressive, and assigned Castro (who is only 19), to the Low-A Lake Country Captains. He is holding his own with the bat, carrying a .298 AVG, but his strikeout total is a little worrying: in 84 at bats he has 16 K’s and only 1 walk. And that lack of walks is killing his OBP, which is at .302.

Still, most of his competition in almost 3 years older than he is, so he has plenty of time to figure things out.  I am excited about his future with the Tribe.
