I have been trying to get a copy of this card since it came out, and finally was able to get one for a decent price. Well, it was still pricey…but if he keeps hitting like he does, and if the Cubs postseason run has some legs…anything with his Herbie Handcock on it is going to be well outside my price range.
This is actually my second Kris Bryant autograph. I tried getting him right after he was drafted, but he would not sign sweet spot cards, so I pulled the trigger on this card, which I like quite a bit. And at the time I don’t think it cost that much, since people were getting all excited about his Bowman Chrome cards, and ignoring his Leaf cards just a little:
Bryant is having a great season, and really seems to be improving as a hitter. He is not quite in the Trout/Harper level, but he could very well be at that tier in a season or two.
