From the Field: Connor Harrell, of, Detroit Tigers

Connor Harrell was drafted twice by the Tigers out of Vanderbilt.  The first time in 2012 in the 31st round, and then again the next season in the 7th round.

He is having a nice season in AA, hitting .267/ .332/.389 with 8 HR. He has plenty or power, but his issues is strikeouts. In 296 at-bats he has 89 K’s to 18 walks. If he could cut down on the K’s, he could move quickly.

This season he was a 2016 Eastern League All-Star. I was not able to get his at the ASG, but did get him the next day when Erie visited Akron. He was very friendly.
