So i have lots of issues with the Red Sox, way more then I feel like writing about right now. But, aside from that, they do have a couple players on the roster that I really like. Xander, Mookie, Brock Holt, Jackie Bradley, Steven Wright and Pomeranz are some of my favorite players, so the fact that they might play–and almost certainly beat–the Indians in the playoffs this season not the worst thing ever. Its close. But not quite the worst.

Mookie Betts.

Not only does he have a fun name, but he is a very good player. On the season he is hitting .314/.355/.538 with 30 HR and 24 SB. He is very good.

He was a great prospect and all coming up through the Boston system–he was their #31 prospect in 2012, #7 in 2013.

That jump in status between 2012 and 2013 seasons was impressive. He added power and another level of patience that elevated his game to pretty much what we see now–an outfielder that can hit 30 HR, steal 30 bases, walk a ton and play gold glove defense.

Autographs. He has some OK ones floating around, but very few really nice on card ones. I think the nicest is this one, the 2015 National Treasure die-cut.

I also got this sweet spot card…though, it is a knock-off on paper, which kind of sucks. Still, I will take it.
