Scott Kingery was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2015 draft out of the U. of Arizona.
Kingery, following the draft, was projected to be a solid hitting, though not particularly powerful, infielder with good defense. He is athletic, and could shift to the outfield if needed.
He hit very well at High-A in 2016, going .293/.360/.411 with 3 HR, and was selected to both the Mid- and Post-season All-Star Teams.
Mid-season he would get the bump to AA, and scuffed: .250/.273/.333 with 2 HR.
The Phillies sent him to the AFL in the fall, and his numbers did not improve too much from his AA stats–.234/.294/.312 with 1 HR.
He still has plenty of potential. He should start the season off again in AA.
