Michael Beltre has a fantastic season in 2016.

He started off the season in the Arizona League, and hit .292/.380/.443. In early August he was bumped to the Pioneer League, and went .309/.423/.531 with 3 HR. He walked 26 times (to 38 K’s) in 187 at bats, which makes me thing that he does have a relatively advanced approach at the plate.

There is lot to like. He should open the season in affiliate ball, and if he continues to hit like he did in 2016 he will move fast through the system.
