From the Field: Dustin May, rhp, LA Dodgers

Dustin May, a Texas high school pitcher, was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2016 draft by the Dodgers. He got in 30.1 innings in the AZL, allowing 37 hits but striking out 34 and only allowing 4 walks.

He is big– 6-foot-6–and has the potential to throw a plus slider and fastball.

At 18 years old the Dodgers can take his development slow, but based on his AZL numbers there is no reason he should not start 2017 in full season ball.
