New Arrival: Chase d’Arnaud, of, Atlanta Braves

Chase d’Arnaud

Taken by the Pirates in the 4th round of the 2008 draft out of Pepperdine.

From 2008 to 2010 was ranked one of the Pirates Top 20 prospects, placing as high as #5 in 2009. He would make the majors in 2011, but would never stick, and left the organization as a free agent in 2014.

He has been bouncing between AAA and the majors since then. Last season in the majors, with the Braves, he slashed .317/.335/.652 in 233 at bats.

One thing that he does have going for him is his versatility. Last season he played every infield position but first base and catcher. So I am thinking he will stay employed in the National League for a while.
