Andrew Knapp was a 2nd round pick of the Phillies, out of the University of California, back in 2013.

He was projected to be an above average defensive catcher with a solid bat.

Once turning pro, his prospect stock slowly rose. From 2013-2015 he was rated the Phillies #24, #15 and #4 prospect respectively. After the 2015 season, Baseball America even rated him one of the games Top 100 prospects (#96).

He spent 2016 with the Phillies AAA team, and hit .266/.330/.390 with 8 HR.

The Phillies have some talent in the system, and so he has dropped off some of the teams Top 20 prospect lists, but he should still be a viable major league player. He should get the call at some point in 2017, though it might be a while before he sticks.
