New Arrival: Thyago Vieira, rhp, Seattle Mariners

Thyago Vieira was signed as international free agent by Mariners back in 2010.

Last season was his first crack in High-A, and pitched very well out of the pen: 44.1 IP, 37 hits, with 53 K to only 18 walks.

It would seem that his control has been an issue in the past, but this BB/9 has been dropping every season, to a career low 3.65 in 2016.

He should open the season in AA this season, and if he continues to pitch like he did in 2016 he could see some time with the big league club in 2018.
