From the Field: Austin Riley, 3b, Atlanta Braves

Ah, this is a good one!

Austin Riley was drafted in the 1st round, 41st overall, in the 2015 draft by the Atlanta Braves. He was a high school pick, so his age 19 season in A-ball this season is just that much more impressive. He hit .271/.342/.479 with 20 HR during the season. He did have 147 strikeouts to only 39 at bats, but with plus raw power you are more than willing to live with the K’s.

I live in Hawaii, so was not able to get this in person…but a friend of mine was able to snag him in Rome. I am just now getting it, and it was a nice surprise.
