New Arrivals: Evan Longoria, 3b, Tampa Bay

When I was in Cleveland I was able to get the scorecard signed by Longoria. I have seen the Rays play twice, and got Longoria both times. I have heard that Tampa Bay is good signing team, and from what I have seen they really do deserve the distinction.

The card is the 2013 Topps Museum Collection autograph. I have been waiting for one to pop up on Ebay, and was pretty excited when one showed up for a $69 BIN. Long story short: I bought it. Seller sent me the note the next day saying he already sold it on Facebook, and I was out of luck. I emailed him saying “Really dude? Facebook? $100?”. He hit me back saying “It’s yours!”.

I am not happy with the transaction. I do love the card, though.

Longo is having a good, though not great season. He is still one of the better 3B in the league, but his OPS is slipping, and he in on par to have the second most strikeouts in his career.  Still, he is only 28, so he has plenty of career left.
